We have been advised that the DESC is planning to re-open schools from next week, which is really exciting news. We are currently making plans for the children's return and are waiting for final confirmation, which is dependent on any Covid developments.
The school will operate as a hub school for the children of essential workers from Tuesday 13th April and we have set up a web page to advise parents on how to apply for a place according to DESC criteria.
Home learning will continue for all children next week from Monday 12th April and follow the usual provision.
We are hoping that we can welcome all children back in school from Monday 19th April ready for the new term. Please see the appropriate web pages for additional details.
It has been a very challenging and worrying time for all of us on the Isle of Man, especially when schools were forced to close for the current lockdown. We realise that every family will have individual challenges and concerns at this time so please stay in touch and if there is any help we can provide please ask.
I hope everyone has appreciated the home learning provision and the opportunity to communicate with the teachers over the last few weeks. We have been really grateful for your support and kind messages. We are waiting for news of schools opening and will post details on our website when they become available.
I have posted a personal letter below which I hope explains my own family circumstances and my future at Sulby, which have become more complicated during this Covid outbreak.
I wish everybody a safe, happy and healthy Easter holiday.
