Year 2 | Contemplation of a Butterfly

Our Year Two children have been mesmerised by the magical transformation of caterpillar to butterfly! It's been a beautiful part of their 'Wriggle and Crawl' project in which the children have been developing into excellent entomologists! From sweeping nets in ponds to lifting up logs, our pupils have been carrying out lots of research and observation, adding notes and labels to their drawings and much more!

For this part of their project, the children have been watching the metamorphosis of caterpillar to butterfly, and have been studying the transformation closely - as you can see in our photo! And they've been inspired to some wonderful writing too - well done Year 2!
