Year 5 | Getting in Line with Picasso

We love these terrific 'one-line'sketches in Year 5, inspired by their study of Picasso as part of their current art topic 'Line, Light and Shadows'. This excellent project gives our children the chance to explore the visual qualities of line, light and shadow, as well as the work of Pablo Picasso and Rembrandt. As the learning continues they'll be introduced to a range of shading techniques, and take some black and white photographs before using pencil, pen and ink wash to reimagine their photographs in a shaded drawing - lots of fun, and some beautiful artwork as a result! Well done Year 5!
