Our Year 1 children have created a wonderful collection of artwork inspired by American pop artist James Rizzi as part of their project on streets and buildings. After exploring Rizzi’s vibrant, playful style and his use of bold shapes and colours, the children designed their own imaginative cityscapes featuring lively skylines and well‑known landmarks. Using watercolours and mixed media, they experimented with blending bright backgrounds and adding detailed building silhouettes to bring their scenes to life. The finished pieces are full of character, creativity and colour - it's beautiful work, Year 1!
