Our Year 3 children have been producing some truly stunning work in their Rocks, Relics and Rumbles topic, showcasing their creativity across art, science and writing. Their vibrant volcano pictures, complete with labelled features like ash clouds, craters, lava flows and magma chambers, bring the drama of an eruption to life with bold colours and careful construction. Alongside this, the children have created striking ammonite prints using fiery reds, oranges and yellows to capture the intricate patterns of these ancient fossils. And inspired by all of this, the class has written vivid volcano poems, full of explosive imagery, rumbling descriptions and powerful language. Together, these artworks and poems brilliantly reflect the children’s enthusiasm, imagination and growing understanding of the natural world.
