Our Year 2 children have been busy exploring their local area through their exciting topic, Street Detectives. As part of this project, the children have been learning about key landmarks, important services within the community, and how Sulby has changed over time. They have also been thinking about what they, as the next generation, can do to help care for and improve their village. The children produced wonderfully detailed maps of Sulby, complete with carefully designed keys and thoughtful use of colour to show features such as rivers, roads, buildings and paths. Alongside their geographical work, they have also been developing their historical understanding by writing imaginative diary entries set in schooldays of the past. Their writing shows great creativity and a growing awareness of how life and learning have changed over the years. Well done, Year 2! What brilliant street detectives you are!
