A consistent theme at Sulby is ‘working together’ and we believe a positive and dynamic partnership between parents, teachers and children is essential in ensuring children have a happy and successful education. We encourage all our children to share any outside achievements with us in school through our assemblies. We love presenting awards and hearing about our children’s efforts and successes.
Our House Point system is really important to all of us at Sulby. Each child is placed in one of our four Houses and we try and keep brothers and sisters in the same one! House points are given for lots of reasons and we count every one carefully. Weekly certificates are given to the child with the highest points score in each year group. We also present star badges to children for receiving significant numbers of House Points, 100 for bronze and 200 for silver - gold badges for 300 points in one year are very rare!
Each teacher and assistant gives one merit award each week to a child who has done something particularly special. All our certificates are given out in our Celebration Assembly every Friday. Children may also be sent to the Head of School or Executive Headteacher to celebrate a special piece of work with an additional award. Please attach value to any award your child brings home from school as we hope they will be very proud of their achievements.
