The school policy on extended holidays is to advise parents that every day in school is important and that we recommend arranging vacations or trips away for times when the school is closed. The Department for Education, Sport and Culture does not support term-time holidays and schools are required to record an unauthorised absence in these cases unless parents have obtained prior agreement from the Head of School or the Executive Headteacher.
You can forward your request by letter, email or by simply calling the school office. If the absence is for more than one day we usually provide a letter of confirmation to you.
The school is required to inform the DESC Attendance Officers of any unauthorised absences.
